Tuscany Steakhouse: Central Park South’s Elegant Eatery
Tuscany Steakhouse is an elegant eatery located at 117 W. 58th street. The classic American & Italian restaurant, owned by veteran restaurateur Steve Haxhiaj, offers steak & seafood dishes with a quaint, upscale ambiance. Chef Jaime Chabla — who has over 20 years’ experience working in various top kitchens — cooks up Tuscany’s signature dry-aged steaks (such as the porterhouse, New York sirloin, and, of course, filet mignon) that are enough to feed three to four people. Veteran wait-staff serve everything tableside: steaks come to you sizzling, and your waiter slices and finishes the steak with a final baste of au jus — truly, it’s a sight to behold.
Upon entering Tuscany Steakhouse, the ambiance immediately screamed upscale and it was slightly intimidating. Upon being seated, myself and my guest were greeted by Steve, who suggested some menu options that were sure to please. We then ordered drinks from their fully-stocked bar and I’d be remised if I didn’t mention just how fresh the mai tai I ordered tasted: It was easily one of the best I’ve had so far this summer.
